 -

Select this option to browse the Data Catalog for available datasets. If you don't see a dataset of interest, you can submit an Open Records Request by clicking here.

Data Catalog Page

The Data Catalog Page can be use to browse and search for datasets available on this site. It displays basic dataset information including name, description, and popularity. It also serves as the main entry point into the Data Viewer Page.

To search for a dataset, enter one or more search keyword into the text box at the top of the page and click the Search button. To clear a search, simply delete all text from the text box.

To browse for a dataset, simply scroll the page or click on one of the Category Quick Links to automatically scroll to a particular section.

* Preview images are only shown in desktop mode. On smaller devices, such as mobile phones, preview images and links are hidden.

Data Viewer Page

The Data Viewer Page provides the ability to view additional dataset information, map, tabular records, and more. The application is divided into the following four tabs.*

Info Tab

 -

The Info Tab displays dataset information such as name, description, date updated, and search keywords. A link is also available to provide email feedback related to the dataset.

In desktop mode, a preview image is shown along with dataset popularity. The preview image is not available on smaller screen sizes such as mobile phones.

Map Tab

 -

The Map Tab is used to display dataset information on a map. The map is interactive and can be panned and zoomed using a mouse or touch input.

Clicking a feature on the map shows the attributes associated with that feature.

The map has toolbar along the top with the following options:

Legend

 -

Toggles the display of the legend on the map.

Address Search

 -

Used to search and zoom map to an address within the City of Oklahoma City.

Filter

 -

Used to filter features shown on map by record attributes.

Download

 -

Used to download data. Tabular data can be downloaded in comma separated value (CSV) format. Datasets with a spatial (map) component can also be downloaded in well-known text (WKT), geographic markup language (GML), key hole markup language (KML), and ESRI © shape file (SHP) formats.

Print

 -

Used to to print map.

Table Tab

 -

The Table Tab is used to display datasets in tabular format.

The table toolbar has the following options.

Filter

 -

Used to filter features shown in the table. If the dataset has map component you can filter the records shown in the table by what is shown on the map. If the dataset does not have a map component a dialog is provided to filter the records by attribute

Developer API Page

The Developer API Page provides basic instructions for accessing our datasets programatically. This access allows website developers to integrate our data directly into their own maps and websites.

Data API

 -

The Data (Records) API is used to retrieve information for any dataset. It is the preferred method for accessing data to be consumed or displayed in a tabular format. If the dataset has a spatial (map) component, the spatial information is returned as a simple latitude and longitude coordinated in decimal degrees.

Map API

 -

The Map API is used to retrieve information for datasets that include a spatial (map) component only. It is the preferred method for accessing data to be consumed or displayed within a map. The returned spatial (map) component includes the full feature geometry. The format is easily consumed in a Microsoft Bing Map © using the Bing Map API.
